India is the largest provider when it comes to generic drugs globally. The pharmaceutical industry supplies over 50% of the global demand. Apparently, India has a pool of scientists who have the ability to direct the industry. It is a fact that 80% of the drugs to fight AIDS are supplied by the Indian Pharma companies. The Government also has taken up many initiatives to promote the pharmaceutical sector.
