E-commerce industry is expected to surpass the US to become the second largest e-commerce market in the world by 2034. There has been a drastic rise in the e-commerce industry. Much of its growth has been because of the internet services and the availability of smart phones. In 2019, the GOI released the Draft National E-Commerce Policy which helps in encouraging the FID in marketplace model of e-commerce.
